That was the quote out of the Double Play Media camp last week as BMI Elite released  a written statement describing this Friday’s upcoming putt-putt match as if it was some sort of medieval battle.  The blog post even went as far as to refer to the match as some kind of ‘joust’  or ‘duel’ and even managed to slip in a reference to ‘The Pony Express.’  When asked to comment on the statement put out by BMI Elite, Double Play Media’s CEO, Corey Gleichenhaus, had this to say:

“Well, We mock what we don’t understand.  And nobody on this side of the fence has any clue what an internet company is doing making references to centuries past.  Here in the 21^st century Double Play Media has been working hard and staying focused.  We conducted our final practice walk through last week and while we have some things to work on I think we are ready and certainly prepared to take on these guys here in 2011.  Or should I have said ‘quarrel’ these guys?’  HaHaHa.  I hope their horses and buggies get them to the course on time.”

Staying on the topic of Double Play’s final walk through.  It was noted that one member of the squad was not on the course last Friday or even on the facility grounds.  Director of Business Development, Bryan Greer reportedly missed the final practice session.  When we attempted to reach Greer for comment he referenced former Philadelphia 76er Allen Iverson’s famous media outburst with; “Practice?  We out here talkin about Practice.”  After making the comment Greer terminated the Skype session and has not answered media inquiries since.

“Do we have a problem?  No, I don’t think we do.”  Said Rob Gleichenhaus Co-Founder of Double Play Media as well as the team’s captain.  “Greer is a professional and he is a gamer.  He knows the course and come Friday we’re sure he’ll make the plays and put the ball in the cup.”  Gleichenhaus went on to call out some of the recent allegations made by BMI Elite into the possible video editing of a hole in one leaked on facebook this week.  “They want to claim that video was edited?  Let ‘em.  The bottom line is that in our recent practice session Holes in One were made.  That’s plural as in many.  As in many made by multiple members of the team.  It is not even in dispute.  They are simply ratcheting up the rhetoric because they don’t want to admit that they may have bit off more than they can chew.  Bottom line, we are ready to roll.  It’s showtime.”

Final ground rules and tee times are expected to be announced later this week through the social media channels and tickets will be available on site the day of the event.

Common courtesy goes a long way.
