What Do You Do When …
What do you do when your publishers are not picking up your phone calls and all their leads are failing due to a simple error? Not to mention they are delivering over 500 leads every day!!! Better yet, what do you when your publishers are having issues passing a successful lead and your client is not available, is on vacation, is sick, or just is not following up with you on your call?
First, take a step back and evaluate the situation. Identify the issues and decide if either relationship is at stake as an effect of the current situation? You think to yourself, is there anything I can possibly do to put out these fires? Sometimes the answer is yes, however sometimes the answer is no. But if there is something you can do to smooth over the rough edges; then do so.
Two, you have to be positive. Send an email to both parties and identify that you understand that there is an issue. Confirm for them that this matter can be overcome. Take the ease and stress off your partners by confiding in them that the world is not over, business can continue and we can progress forward in this day and age and surpass this hurdle.
And three; MOVE ON! Identify the projects your partner’s are capitalizing on. And then go ahead and discuss the new opportunities that you have access to that relate directly to the projects your partners do best with.
P.S. My theory is not to waste time, if we can work together on a project then great. If we cannot, then let’s move on and construct a number of opportunities that we can be successful with.
