When is Enough, Actually Enough?

Fed-upWhen is enough, actually enough?  Your first thought may be, wait a minute, what are we talking about?

What is great is that you can decide for yourself as to what you feel is overwhelming, or just plain enough!

Think about how your days pan out, you wake up and you have some toast, some eggs and a glass of OJ. On your way to work your stomach is still rumbling so you stop off at Dunkin Donuts and grab yourself a Boston Crème and medium coffee, decaf, skim and sugar. What next?

You arrive at the office and you flip your monitor on and start cranking out responses to partner’s emails and questions. Several hours fly by and your make your first calls, probe a new potential client about their needs and goals they are trying to achieve and schedule a follow up call for next week to discuss this opportunity further.

Now, it is 4pm and your office manager holds a collective meeting to discuss the development and goals for the next fiscal quarter.  However you were up all night at a bar with your buddies and you only had 5 hours of sleep.  No one notices other then yourself, but you’re dozing off, not acting professional and showing less than average interest in the current meeting then the rest of your colleagues. Truth be told, you are determined, interested, hard working and focused on working as a team and being successful.

When is enough really enough?  I think to be successful at any task you have to be organized. Organize your daily tasks to allow you to be the most efficient you can possibly be.  I have TWO tips for you today, and the first is to EAT BREAKFAST!!  A mix of complex carbohydrates and proteins in the morning will set your mind right for the day allowing you to use the full functionality of your mind to plan your daily tasks in order to get you the most out of your day. In addition, eating breakfast will help jump start your metabolism!!** The 2nd tip is to make sure that you are organizing your entire day and not just your work day. Try to get to sleep at a regular time; your body requires 6-8 hours of sleep to feel recharged and prepared for the day’s work ahead of you!

There you go! You are off to a nice start. Keep your weeks organized and your mind in tip top shape.
